Landing Page Experiment (A/B/n) Results

Test Period: June 1, 2026 – August 9, 2026 (70 Days / 10 Weeks) • Sample Size: 1.83M Visitors

Decision Ready • Statistically Significant
Executive Takeaway & Product Recommendation

The 10-week test evaluated 7 candidate redesigns (B–H) against the current Control page (A). The primary metric that drives company revenue is Visitor-to-Purchase Conversion Rate.

1. Ship Redesign "F" Immediately

Variant F is the undisputed winner. It delivered an overall conversion rate of 2.22% (+23.6% relative lift over Control A, p < 0.0001), generating ~3,600 additional purchases over the test period without sacrificing cart-completion quality.

2. Avoid Redesign "C" (The "Clickbait Trap")

Variant C generated a massive CTA click rate (+43.5% vs A), but suffered severe downstream drop-off: cart-to-purchase fell by -33.9%. Overall purchase conversion was 1.80%, virtually flat vs Control (+0.1%).

3. Rollout & Next Steps

Promote Variant F to 100% traffic. Take copy/visual elements from C that generated initial curiosity and test them inside F's high-intent structure to explore further upside.

Key Insights & Product Learnings

▲ Variant F: Balanced Intent & Clear Value

Variant F succeeded because it qualified user intent early. It improved CTR moderately (+8.8% vs Control), but more importantly maintained high cart qualification (16.2% of clickers added to cart) and high checkout completion (36.1% of carts converted to orders). This proves the page redesign set accurate buyer expectations.

⚠ Variant C: High Engagement, Low Purchase Intent

Variant C had the highest click-through rate by far (49.4% vs Control's 35.5%), but suffered severe drop-off later in the funnel. Its Cart → Purchase rate plummeted to 24.3% (vs 36.8% for Control). This pattern indicates the call-to-action or copy was overly broad, provocative, or misleading, drawing low-intent tire-kickers.

▼ Variant H: Severe Underperformance

Variant H was the worst performing redesign across the board (-15.4% lift vs Control, 1.52% overall CR). Its cart addition rate fell to 14.2% and checkout completion dropped to 31.5%. The design changes in Variant H created friction and discouraged checkout.

● Stability & Absence of Novelty Bias

Tracking weekly cohort trends over the full 70-day test reveals no novelty fatigue. Variant F's conversion rate stayed in the 2.15%–2.30% corridor across all 10 weeks, demonstrating that the lift is durable and permanent.

Recommended Action Plan for Product Team

Phase 1: Roll Out Variant F

Allocate 100% of production landing page traffic to Version F. Deprecate versions B, D, E, G, and H.

Phase 2: Qualitative Synthesis

Analyze why F's layout reduced bounce and improved checkout willingness. Document layout and copy guidelines as new brand standards.

Phase 3: Follow-up Experiment

Explore if headline/hero elements from C can be refined and infused into F without diluting purchase intent, aiming for an incremental 5–10% lift.
